白　山　　 ２０２４（令和６）年は白山開山１３０７年です。

　７１７年に越前の僧、泰澄大師によって開山され白山は、富士山、立山とともに日本三大名山と呼ばれています。
福井、岐阜、富山、石川の4県にまたがり、九頭竜川、長良川、庄川、手取川の源流域として、２８０万人以上の人々がその水の恵を受けています。ハクサンの名を持つ約20種類を始め、多くの高山植物が咲き誇り、ブナなどの広葉樹の原生林は、多くの生き物を支える、まさに命の源です。そして山麓地域には、その歴史と文化を伝える人々が生活する、貴重な地域です。

Founded in 717 by the Echizen monk Taicho Daishi, Mt. Hakusan is called one of Japan's three great mountains, along with Mt. Fuji and Mt. Tateyama.
It straddles four prefectures: Fukui, Gifu, Toyama, and Ishikawa, and serves as the headwaters of the Kuzuryu, Nagara, Sho, and Tedori rivers, and more than 2.8 million people benefit from its water. Many alpine plants, including about 20 species with the name Hakusan, are in full bloom, and the primeval forest of broad-leaved trees such as beech is truly the source of life, supporting many living things. The region at the foot of the mountain is a valuable region where people who pass on its history and culture live.

特定非営利活動法人　環白山保護利用管理協会 　　　　（Association for Conservation of Circum-Hakusan Area）とは

　環白山保護利用協会は、類い稀な自然、景観、文化に恵まれた環白山地域の健全な保全と、それらと調和を図りながら、持続可能な希望と誇りの持てる、地域の振興を図っていくため、産官学民や行政界の枠を越えて、環白山地域の様々な機関や組織が連携協働し、調査研究や事業等を継続的に実施することで、環白山地域が一体となって地域を創造し、自立した環白山地域としての基盤確立と未来への継承を目的として２００７（平成１９）年１月に設立しました。２０１７（平成２９）年３月には特定非営利活動（ＮＰＯ）法人として移行設立しました。

The Mt. Hakusan Protection and Utilization Association strives to preserve the health of the Mt. Hakusan region, which is blessed with unique nature, scenery, and culture, and to promote the region in a way that is sustainable and has hope and pride, while working in harmony with these areas. In order to achieve this goal, various institutions and organizations in the Hakusan region will work together, transcending the boundaries of industry, government, academia, and government, and will continue to carry out research and projects, so that the Hakusan region can become one. It was established in January 2007 (Heisei 19) with the aim of creating a region, establishing the foundation for an independent Hakusan region, and passing it on to the future. In March 2017, it was established as a specified non-profit organization (NPO).
